Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Roles and Responsibilities:This Program Quality Engineering (PQE) position will support the Advanced Mission Capabilities Business Unit. The main responsibilities will be supporting the F22 program portfolio in the Advanced Systems Operating Unit.

  • The PQE will be responsible for implementing MA engagement strategies across the program life-cycle from supporting new business pursuits to supporting fielded systems.
  • The QE will act as the main Quality focal point for the program and will be responsible for applying and maintaining quality evaluation techniques and control systems to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into finished materials product.
  • Collaborates with customers, supply chain, program management, contracts, engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place and maintained.
  • Perform assessments of the program activities to ensure compliance with stated requirements.
  • Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; performs analysis of program quality data to assess and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
  • Additional responsibilities include measuring and monitoring supplier performance, chairing the program material review board, reviewing and approval of technical documentation, establishing program corrective action boards and interfacing with upper management on quality related issues.Basic Qualifications:
    • BS Degree (STEM) + 5 years of exp; MS Degree +3 years exp; or PhD.
    • Proficient written and verbal interpersonal communication skills and confidence to brief senior management with solid foundation in Mission Assurance applications.
    • Secret Clearance Required to start
    • Ability to obtain a security clearance (US Citizen)
    • Ability to coordinate customer communications across multiple, diverse sites.
    • Ability to work in cross-functional teams to resolve problems or issues.
    • Manufacturing or Quality Assurance Experience
    • Trained and experienced in performing Root Cause Corrective Action
    • Experience working with electrical or mechanical design requirements and specifications.
    • Participate in corrective action boards using analytic techniques to identify trends in manufacturing.
    • Experience with SAPPreferred Qualifications:
      • Active/current Top Secret security clearance
      • Experience with SAP and MES
      • Knowledge in how to read schematics or wire lists
      • Knowledge of Process Improvement Methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma)
      • Understanding of ISO9001 and/or AS9100 standards, audit experience
      • Familiar with MA and Space processes and systems
      • Familiar with integration and test processes and techniques related to integrating and testing space vehiclesSalary Range: $93,000 - $139,600The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
