Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: ICU - Transplant Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years; must have 1 prior travel assignment License: Pending license accepted, must have active license prior to start date Certifications: Required - ACLS and BLS; Preferred - BSN Must-Have: Flexibility for rotating shifts, experience with Cerner, ability to manage a variety of critical care situations Job Description: - Provide high-quality care in a transplant ICU setting - Manage patients with post-transplant conditions including liver, kidney/pancreas, small intestine, and more - Handle a variety of diagnoses such as ESLD, ESRD, sepsis, and multisystem organ failure - Required skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, and multi-system organ failure management - Extensive knowledge in areas such as CVA/Acute Stroke management, hypothermia protocol, and respiratory/thoracic care - Experience in dealing with surgical wounds and managing external ventricular drains - Float within units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed - Adhere to strict infection prevention and isolation precautions while maintaining patient safety - Must have competency in phlebotomy and wound management - Prior charge nurse experience is preferred - Participate in pre-approved time off scheduling based on unit needs - Employees are required to have the Flu vaccine, with no exemptions - Complete both pre-start modules and those potentially required during orientation Please note flexibility is crucial due to the rotating schedules which may include variations between day and night shifts.
