Planet Technologies, the nation's leading Microsoft services provider to the public sector, is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing team as a Senior Database Developer. In this role, you will be supporting impactful projects that benefit our country.The Senior Database Developer is responsible for creating database objects (tables, views, indexes, triggers, etc.) based on customer data element requirements. The database developer must be able to translate customer data element requirements into a data model that conforms to industry standards. These tables (including reference tables and audit tables) must then be normalized in 3rd normal form.Responsibilities

• Review current databases and make necessary changes to ensure that they meet the required standards.
• Create new databases according to requirements from customers.
• Listen to customer needs, translate those needs into technical requirements, and implement those data needs into databases and their objects.
• SQL Database development and Azure Storage development for an enterprise-level solution.
• Negotiate schemas with front-end developers and business analysts to complete projects on time and efficiently.
• Develop APIs.Skills Required
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience with SQL, .Net, C#, Azure or AWS (preferred), Visual Studio.
  • Expert in developing functions and SQL CRUD statements (including creates, inserts, updates, table alters, deletes, queries, etc.), stored procedures, ensuring efficiency (e.g. EXPLAIN PLAN and other efficiency measures).
  • Communicate efficiently and effectively in both written and verbal formats. Candidates must be comfortable meeting with customers to assess their needs and work with them to turn business and technical requirements into a working solution.
  • Preferred Azure certifications (AZ 204, AZ 900, AZ DP203).Essentials
    • Education: Bachelor's Degree.
