The Building Engineer supports the designated leadership with the daily operations of all building systems. This includes hard surface maintenance and repair, operating, maintaining, and repairing all facility system equipment associated with HVAC operations and mechanical and electrical systems. The Building Engineer will also respond to customer requests, submit and close work orders as necessary, and perform other duties as assigned.

We are looking for someone who adapts quickly to change and can provide win-win solutions for both the client and ABM.Essential Functions:Repair and maintenance of restroom and breakroom plumbing drains using a plunger and hand-held labor, such as carrying, stacking, and organizing materials around the job and trash removal not covered by the janitorial contract or scope of and cleaning of HVAC registers, radiators, and return furniture and/or replacing door venetian painting in mechanical and electrical painting in building common areas and tenant spaces when authorized by property cleaning in mechanical cleaning of exterior entry spaces using vacuum, mop, broom, steam cleaner, high-pressure sprayer, and other cleaning devices or and painting non-operating mechanical equipment that has been shut down, locked out, and tagged by a Journeyman Engineer in accordance with ABM Lockout/Tagout handyman work requiring limited use of hand roof drains, air vents, registers, and lamps and cleaning light replacement per ABM Lockout/Tagout ceiling tiles and floor air engineering shop fire framed objects not requiring the use of power tools other than a cordless with client and internal ABM processes and other duties as duties may be modified at any time.Minimum Requirements:Experience in an office facilities environment is knowledge of OSHA safety standards and state-issued drivers organizational skills and attention to to adjust work schedule as needed to support in Microsoft custodial experience is to stand for up to 10 hours per engineering experience of at least 3 skill sets applicable to a range of systems, maintenance programs, and service Skills Required:Advanced knowledge of HVAC systems, including operation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration in electrical systems, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical components and in plumbing systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing fixtures and to operate and assist in operating heating and ventilating equipment, engines, turbines, motors, combustion engines, pumps, air compressors, ice and refrigerating machines, air conditioning units, fans, and to understand, analyze, and seek solutions to the design, operation, maintenance, performance, or repair of vehicles/equipment and their to develop solutions and implementation plans, project justification, cost/benefit analysis, and overall management of project of work with other operational groups to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, operational reliability, and operational efficiency.About UsABM (NYSE: ABM) is one of the worlds largest providers of facility services and solutions.
